On January 29, 2026, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Kurtis Droppa visited three Forensic Science classes at New Heights Christian Academy. The students had been learning about collecting evidence, chain of custody, fingerprinting, and blood spatter as part of their curriculum. Mr. Droppa worked with Detective Cady from the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office and Ms Jean Miller from New Heights to bring together a class that illustrated these concepts as they were applied to a recent murder case that resulted in a successful prosecution. The students were a delight, and several inquired about paths to pursue for future careers in law enforcement and prosecution!
